I'm Curtis Burch — a sports media professional and storyteller with roots in radio and a reach across every platform fans live on. I build content and broadcasts that grow audiences and connect partners and sponsors to the fans who matter to them.
I've spent my career around Kentucky sports, trying to tell its stories as well as I can.
I've worked across radio, digital, and just about every platform in between, mostly trying to do one thing well: help fans feel closer to the teams and people they follow, and help partners connect with them. These days I work in digital media for the UK Sports Network and edit The Big Blue Brew, a daily newsletter that lands in fans' inboxes each weekday morning.
I got here the slow way. I came up in radio — producing and co-hosting Big Blue Insider at iHeartMedia — and have spent a lot of years just trying to find better ways to bring Kentucky sports to the people who care about them. My first job in the business was answering phones at The Cats' Pause, and I've been grateful to keep at it ever since.
I came to Lexington in 2006 for the University of Kentucky and never left. I'm raising a family here with my wife and two sons, and I still feel lucky to do work I care about in a place I love.

I'm the editor of The Big Blue Brew — a daily Kentucky sports newsletter that lands in fans' inboxes every weekday morning, just in time for that first cup of coffee. From the first draft to the final send, it's mine end to end.
The official digital platform of UK Athletics — sharing behind-the-scenes stories of the athletes, coaches, and fans behind Kentucky basketball, football, and more. I manage the site and help create what runs on it.
